Definition

The Abaco Islands are a chain of islands in the northern part of the Bahamas.

There are two main islands that make up the Abaco Islands, they are called Great Abaco and Little Abaco.

The smaller islands that make up the Abaco Islands are called cays, and they are: Wood Cay, Elbow Cay, Lubbers Quarters Cay, Green Turtle Cay, Great Guana Cay, Castaway Cay, Man-o-War Cay, Stranger's Cay, Umbrella Cay, Walker's Cay, Little Grand Cay, and Moore's Island.

The Abaco Islands make up of five of the 31 discticts of the Bahamas.

These five districts are: North Abaco, Central Abaco, South Abaco, Moore's Island, and Hope Town.

If you want to stay in the Abaco Islands, there are many hotels and resorts for you to choose from.

Another major source of accommodation are private home rentals in the Abaco Islands
